Jewellery And Silver Society Oxford
JASSO was formed in 1973 and is now a well established part of the Oxfordshire crafts scene. It is a Society for all lovers of Jewellery and Silversmithing.
Originally established in the basement of the Old Fire Station in Oxford, it was moved in 1989 as required by Oxford City Council and spent 3 years operating from the upper floors of the St Giles Parish room on the Woodstock Road, Oxford.
In 1992 a further move was made to the Arts Centre at 25 Bridge Street, Abingdon. The need for more space finally saw JASSO open its new workshop in January 2002 in a converted barn at Peach Croft Farm on the edge of Abingdon.
